Cut Off

We recently [yesterday afternoon] cut Caleb's paci - now it's just the hard plastic part and handle with nothing to chew or suck on.

  

He has done surprisingly well without it!  Sure he still carries the darn thing around, everywhere!  He even offered it to the greeter at Home Depot yesterday.  Ben had to pick up a few supplies for his own project.

Where there once was a roof leak - there is no more!  Good job, babe!

We were extremely surprised at how well Caleb went to sleep without the paci being in his mouth!  I really hope I didn't just jinx us!!  Maybe it had something to do with him waking up at 6:45am and only taking an hour nap [unlike his usual 2 1/2 hour naps].  But then again he did have a death grip on it while he was asleep last night as well.

But we have noticed that he has been chewing/sucking on his fingers instead.  Even at daycare when he doesn't have a paci - he will come home with red blisters on his fingers from where he has chewed/sucked.  His pediatrician suggesting using a product called Thum but I've read the reviews and they are horrible so I'm just going to make something all natural instead.. more on that later.
